Never Grow Up

Since our move G and I spend a lot more time alone together.  Just the way it works I suppose.  In some ways it's been wonderful getting to spend this time with my youngest.  Soon he'll be off at friends houses and wanting nothing to do with me.  So today, I just laid on the floor with my camera and watched him play.  As we were playing, the song "Never Grow Up" by Taylor Swift came on.  It literally brought tears to my eyes.  They grow up so fast.  I realized that these are the special moments in my life, these are the moments that I will ALWAYS treasure.  I am so blessed and just had to share these pictures of my little guy.

The "R" Girls

I had so much fun with these Beautiful girls the other day.  They are the daughters of my youngest's preschool teacher.  I love that she wanted to get some shots of her girls as they get older and change.  These sisters were so fun and funny.  I love how if I needed a little extra smile I could count on them to get the other laughing.  They were instantly comfortable with the camera.  I'm not sure who had more fun, me or them.  They really did prove to me how much I missed out on not having a sister.  You can just tell how much these girls love each other!

The Mc Family

Miss "E" was such a delight to spend my afternoon with.  Mom had been working with her on her pretty smiles, and boy did she have fun with them.  I've loved "E" since meeting her.  She is full of some super spunk!  She is a girl that knows what she likes, that's for sure.  I enjoyed visiting with this family here in California this summer.  They were our first visitors.  It was great to go back to AZ and have the chance to photograph them (not to mention catch up a little).

The N Family

You know those people you met in life that you just instantly know you'll get along with.  Well this mom was one of those people for me.  She is just the nicest person and we really did just bond instantly.  It might have helped that our kids were the same age.  But really I think it was because she is just the type of person that anyone would be drawn to.  I had so much fun shooting this cute family.  The littlest, Miss "A" really gave me a run for my money.  She wanted nothing to do with picture taking.  So we had to work around her needs :)

Looking good Lauren

I can't help but look at these pictures and think of the the song, Isn't she lovely! This young women was so, super fun to shoot. I may have had as much fun taking her High School Sr pics as she did having them taken. I've known Lauren for a few years now and I was so honored when she choose me to take her pictures. As you can see she made my job a bit easier. She really is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out!

Moore Bags please! I sure want one.

I am always on the lookout to learn new things from other photographers. I am constantly checking out other peoples sites trying to get a new perspective or to learn from others that are better than I. In those searches sometimes I am lead in a completely different direction while I snoop out other sites. Today was no different. I was doing some research on new ways to edit some of my pictures to get "different" looks. And I found just about the coolest bag, EVER! Ok well if you are a photographer that is. But really, this bag has ALL kinds of uses. You have to check it out. This chick is brilliant. She must be a mother too!
The bag is called a Kelly Bag! I am in awe of her. Now that is what I call a smart lady. For anyone that knows me very well, I myself am not really all that into bags. I mean the trendy type of bags that is. But this one, this is THE BAG I have to have. Now all I have to do is PICK a color. They really are just perfect bags for a photographer. HINT HINT! I hope you check it out, at least for fun. Or at least to get into my head a little and see how addicted to photography I am. :) Check it out here.

Fun family

I always worry when I have a shoot with small children. Only because my own seem to have such a hard time listening to me when I ask them to take pictures. But this fabulous family was so great. I wish my own two year old would smile and have fun like this little guy did. The older kids were just wonderful. It was so fun to finally meet the whole family. I've met the mom a few times and have always thought so much of her. She does a great job with her kids.

Amazing how a much they change in a year.

Here is another familiar family. I had a great time this year once again. I love it when I know a family and we can joke and have a good time. As you can see this family is so adorable. I'm so happy when I have clients that become my friends.

New addition to familiar faces

Last year I met this adorable family. The boys were not all that excited about pictures. We will just say that it took some work last year.
When I received a call this year to shoot this family again I was so excited to hear there was a new addition to the family! It was cold and the weather threatened us almost the whole time. But they were so fun. The boys seemed to be much more understanding of what was going to happen. It is always so much fun to see familiar smiling faces.
